I wanted to shared to every viewer of this site, how I became financially independent at such young age like at the age 10.This is how I became one. As I’ve had ” said ” before, in my previous blog I grow up in a big family. My family was in a poor financial situation. Moved from one place to another. Like from province to City. And in the City, my family moved from one place to another place due to financial problem when growing up, and at the time we could only afford to rent small home even though we have a big family.
Fortunately, people in the neighborhood was very nice to me. At least that was I thought of during the time. Some took me where they worked and let me work with them and paid me afterward.
The worked was very easy. It was a Corn Snack factory. It was the very first ever worked I made my own money so I was very happy. All I had to do was sealed and packed the snack and the rest would do by other workers.
And by the ages of 12. It was school break back then. One of my neighbor took me to her work which was a Garment factory.
Garment factory is where they make clothing production such as T-shirt, pants/ jeans, and shorts.
And all I had to do was cut or trimmed exist threads that no longer needed on item and packed them individually. Even though salary wasn’t good at the time I was happy because at such age I was making my own money and at the same time am learning something new.
There were more than 100 workers at the factory. And one day, the owner of the factory visited the site and noticed me. She was a Chinese, I was noticed not because I had a pretty appearances but due to I was quite and a fast worker. One situation happened to me during the time, and I wasn’t able to go to work.
Almost a week, I missed going to work without giving noticed at the garment factory so I thought I could no longer worked there. And I was surprised one day, the owner asked one of the co-worker to gave me a visit at home.
The owner even ordered to gave me a pay race, plus on top of that the owner ordered one of the supervisor to moved me in another department. Which was sewing ( Sewing Department ) and and teach me something new. To get back to work.
So I went back and work at the garment factory once again .
Everyday when supervisor had time at Sewing Department, she would teach me what I supposed to learn on the field. The supervisor were really nice to me as well.. So I was very pleased and happy that I was learning and at the same time I was making more my money.
I had blessed and learned from the field so I used that to apply for another job .
I applied to a Shoe Company. Luckily got hired. The new company paid me a descent salary that I could live on my own.
Same field as my previous work but different company. I used to worked in garment factory and applied for Shoe Company which is an Exported for Shoe Factory.
Company that exported branded Nike, Fila, Fuma and others shoes to different country like USA, Europe, Australia and many more ..
This is one of the reason how I get out of the poverty is due to my hard work. Learned from one field to another. And moved from one job to another. Moved from one place to another place. That is my situation when growing up. From this situation, I was able to helped out my family financially.
There are many ways to be financially independent at young age. Everyone has different situation in life. Do what’s work for you. Some do an errand from neighbors, like taking care of neighbors garden, washing cars, baby sitting, pet sitting ( feeding pets,walking dogs while the owners is out of town perhaps ), mini buy and sell stand like baked cookies, sell lemon juices, delivering newspaper.
Some do an errand to other and make them pay for your services like tutoring. Teach what’s your best at, like private tutorial of Math. Reading English subject to younger students. Giving tutorial online such as crafting or basic tutoring on computer specially for the elderly who has lack on knowledge of computer or any other devices and so much more.
I did a lot of worked in different fields when growing up. This is how I became financially independents at young age. How about you? Could you share some of your life story ?
