This is one of the first perfumes I made. Am sure, there are many ways, ingredients, and secrets recipe in making perfumes.
But for me, this is how I do things in terms of making perfumes. I had made a pure homemade vanilla extract in year Nov 2021. The ingredients in making homemade vanilla extract was 90 proof vodka and vanilla Beans. Oh! it simple and not complicated so I tried making it myself ( followed what I searched online back then ).
Off course, bought the vanilla bean online. The label said from ” Madagascar “. I don’t know how true it is but I told myself . Why not give it a try?.
I cut the vanilla bean in length wise “barely” and just to make beans opened and soaked in 90 proof vodka. Store in a cool dry place, in short — pantry.
After 2 years I make a used out of my homemade vanilla extract. Back to the perfume topics and to make the story short, I used the homemade vanilla extract into my perfumes.
How to make a perfumes that everyone would love the scents? Here’s the ingredients and utensils needed:6 ml grain alcohol ( 150 to 190 proofs )
2 ml Pure homemade Vanilla Extract ( from 2 years old )
1 ml carrier oil ( jojoba oil, almond oil, any preferred one)
9 drops Bergamot Essential Oil
15 drops Sweet Orange Essential Oil
6 drops Sandalwood Essential Oil
Empty mist spray glass or plastic bottles ( approximately 10 to 15 ml )
Disposable plastic gloves and disposable plastic droppers or glass dropper if preferred.
The characteristic of this perfumes, when first sprayed, the smell is very weak like it was nothing, but as it get longer by the day, the scent becomes stronger. The scents would lasted for days. Mixture of lovely, orange with vanilla scents.
That was base on my own observation and my sense of smell. I understand that everyone has a different sense of smell. And I know for a fact, that individual has their own favorite perfumes.
